Valenti International responds to the San Diego Union Tribune article “Can’t buy me love,”

Fraught with inaccuracies and slanted for sensationalism, journalistic integrity appears lost.

Can you really trust the search results on Google and Yahoo? Appearing as if it were yesterday, the San Diego Union Tribune article “Can’t buy me love,” appears in Google and Yahoo search results as if it were hot of the presses. Valenti International feels the time is now to finally tell their side of the story. “We were quiet and wanted to avoid dragging our business and clients through the mud by taking the higher ground, but the article has created a profound misperception regarding our business. People don’t notice the date of the article. It’s as if the article is being republished every time you search for our company. We trust search engines to provide us with timely and accurate results. After speaking with a potential client today who made reference to this article, I decided it was time,” said President Irene Valenti.

Less than one tenth of one percent, (.001), that is the fraction of clients that have pursued a legal complaint with Valenti International, now in business for over 19 years in the same small and private affluent community of Rancho Santa Fe, California.

The truth is… “I personally witnessed the San Diego Union Tribune staff writer illegally entering and bypassing security gates in the hopes of gaining information about celebrity clients,” says Steve Valenti, Director of Operations for Valenti International. According to Robert Page, the Managing Director of Valenti International, “prior to her trespassing, the writer refused a formal written invitation for an interview with the founder of Valenti International, Irene Valenti. She claims in the article that Valenti International refused to meet with her. What is not stated in the article is that most cases were amicably settled and never actually reached a court of law. Thus, the term “sued” was completely misleading creating the impression that Valenti International is fraudulent and in big trouble with the law when the fact is that a majority of clients are pleased. Apparently the appeal of exploiting lonely and emotionally hurt individuals for public ridicule in a distorted article was just too enticing. And that is perhaps the ultimate truth behind the “Can’t buy me love” story published in the Union Tribune.”

Irene Valenti continues, “Unfortunately, the writer was so interested in Valenti International and she appeared to have a premeditated agenda to ride the company’s shining and sophisticated reputation as the founders of traditional matchmaking.”

Rather than conduct a balanced interview, she illegally trespassed and was found at Irene Valenti’s home. Irene Valenti was stunned to find the writer inside the gated community and asking probing questions of her neighbors. She was also caught trespassing at the Valenti International World Headquarters by the founder’s son, Steve Valenti. “She was sneaking into the gated estate, all of which could have been avoided. Clearly she was not after a balanced story. Gates, secrecy, privacy, all are necessary for many clients who are public figures and highly recognizable,” added Steve.

Of course Valenti occasionally has an unhappy customer—this is a highly emotional business. Yet Valenti is incredibly proud of an impressive track record and commitment to clients. Thousands of clients year after year are pleased, satisfied, and content in their private experience. Made to look mean and fraudulent, Valenti International’s voice was never heard—what of the couple married in 2005 that recently had twins? Or the European couple that left Germany to honeymoon in San Diego to thank Valenti for their efforts?

Valenti International
does not solicit with coercive charismatic personal references or promising statistics to legitimize the service. Every client is a highly unique and complex person, with his or her own probability of success. Respect, confidentiality, and dignity, along with quality clientele and a trained staff are part of what the company guarantees.

The company employs licensed doctors (an entire team) to make matches and ensure that clients receive professionally informed attention. Conversely, the industry has a reputation for unscrupulous companies and laypeople masquerading as “matchmakers.” How someone could entrust a total stranger lacking in education, training in human behavior and emotions, or professional qualifications and standards for practice is frightening. Valenti International remains at the top for a reason.

Additionally, it should not be overlooked that Valenti International forms a lasting relationship with clients for three years. A collaborative three-year relationship only survives with trust and mutual goals, the functional antithesis of fraud or misrepresentation. Because the service standard is so high with only psychologists, the company has thrived with a strong reputation and enduring integrity.

“On occasion it is disappointing when we cannot provide a client with the dream relationship he or she desires; we deal with this reality as part of our job. Matching incredible people is unbelievably demanding, and the entire team is totally devoted to this end. We want our clients to be happy, the happiness that comes from knowing unconditional love with their partner. Our most successful clients always look the same in one regard: they take responsibility for their own part in our shared goals and fully trust and participate in our process, even through difficult emotional times.”
Irene Valenti, known as the founder of traditional matchmaking since 1990, President of Valenti International.

Essential Steps To Move On To A New Relationship

In order to move on to a new relationship, you must let go of the past. While it can be challenging to end a relationship and move forward it can even be more of a struggle to leave behind the difficulties that led to a breakup. This can be particularly challenging in the case of divorce. At Valenti International, Irene Valenti and the matchmaking team work with our clients to help them recognize that while they may have ended a relationship the real work and healing comes from releasing the emotions and often residual anger from the past. Often times we are not even aware of how our thoughts and our actions communicate to others that we are still angry or have unresolved feelings from the past. These feelings can color our relationships as we move forward and prevent individuals from finding new love. Discussing past negative experiences and the associated feelings is an important part of moving forward. If you still fell strongly about how a relationship ended or have ongoing anger or concerns related to custody or financial issues, seek the support of a counselor or someone you trust. Do not make the mistake of discussing these issues or concerns with a date or potential romantic partner. It is not appropriate and you simply cannot move forward with your thoughts and feelings stuck in the past. Remember that others listen to how you speak about your past and previous romantic partners as a way to determine how you might treat them. It is not necessary to discuss past relationships with those you are dating and frankly can be destructive and ultimately damage or hinder the opportunity for new relationships. If you are still angry or bitter, get help, and work to leave the past behind you. This is essential if you hope to move forward.

Valenti International - Ending The Endless Search

Valenti International moves well beyond a
simple matchmaking agency

By Virginia Gil (reprinted from Haute Living Magazine 10/08)

Irene Valenti, the founder of professional matchmaking service Valenti International, is overflowing with insight about the ways of the world. A visionary and creative thinker, she is blessed with an amazing intuition that led her to found Valenti International nearly two decades ago. It was established to meet the needs of accomplished, intelligent, attractive, and selective men and women who required a highly personalized service. “My dream and goal was to build a powerful business model that would be unique and have a positive worldwide impact,” she says.

The model was, and remains, unique—“matchmaking in the European tradition.” It embodies the heritage of the village matriarch who personally introduced people to fall in love; her heartfelt and intimate knowledge (and the intuition again) of her “townspeople” included family values, culture, faith, and, of course, romance and personality.

Realistically, such a process of discovering a suitable mate is remarkably complicated, and that’s where Irene (a student of life who loves to learn and teach, and who’s not easily distracted or discouraged) comes to the rescue. The tradition and method of getting to know clients, beautiful people who have so much to offer, is the Valenti secret recipe. What scientific approach could possibly identify such deep qualities of the individual? This is part of the Valenti magic that cannot be replicated. It’s why Valenti doesn’t fret about competition—there is none. “The business is made from my own DNA; it would be very difficult to duplicate,” she affirms. “Although imitation is the greatest compliment, many have tried to copy Valenti’s system without success.

The Valenti model utilizes a team of Ph.D and licensed psychologists and professionals who care for clients as if they were family. Irene proudly boasts, “I choose to surround myself with remarkable people that inspire me and enrich my clients.” They are extremely generous with their time, and privacy and careful screening is guaranteed. Valenti’s amazing clientele, who range from age 18 to 80, appreciate such feedback, guidance, and respectful nurturing in their journey and search for their perfect match.

“We are there for them when they are disappointed or hurt, and we laugh with them when they are happy,” she smiles. “Many of our clients tell me that the experience of our initial process alone is worth the fee they’ve paid—this is before they’ve had their first introduction!”

In terms of success rate, Irene recognizes that success is defined by the satisfaction of Valenti’s clients. “When you are talking about personal relationships, success can mean many different things,” she wisely counsels. That’s why she does what she does. She loves it. Doing the impossible excites her, like with her favorite success story. “I met a handsome gentleman, Joe, on a British Airways flight a few years ago,” she recounts. “He passed me a note from two rows away: ‘I’ve been seeing your face for years and wanted to call, but I couldn’t face the fact that I needed help to find someone. Now that we’ve met, you seem so down to earth and sincere—I have no more excuses. I just can’t seem to do it on my own.’” One year later, Irene celebrated Joe’s engagement to Beth; the two make a beautiful couple.

It’s stories like this that lead her to advise, “Create your own destiny! Find a company or someone you can trust. Commit. Take action. Trust and participate fully in the process and you will succeed. Never quit!” More people will soon have the opportunity to benefit from her pearls of wisdom, as she’s working on her first book. “I am focusing on lost family traditions and values and the impact this has on society and people searching for the love of his or her life.”

Beyond that, she knows that Valenti, as the founders of traditional matchmaking, will continue to raise the bar in the matchmaking industry. “We have decades of experience in the dynamics of relationships, especially for individuals accustomed to outsourcing other aspects of their lives. We are more than matchmakers, we are personal relationship experts offering the most comprehensive approach to help our clients succeed.”

VALENTINO @ VALENTI Charity Event – A Huge Success

RANCHO SANTA FE, CA --- The Valenti International Foundation’s spectacular inaugural black tie gala to benefit abused, homeless and foster children in San Diego County held on April 12, 2008, was a huge success. At $1,000 per seat, it was a sold-out event.

Truly a night to remember, it was one of the best organized and smoothly run black tie affairs held in memory according to many of those attending. Valenti International opened its doors to the public for the first time in its history to benefit needy children in the County.

The evening began welcoming guests into the Grand Foyer of the Valenti International Headquarters along a true red carpet entry. Rich red suede drapes, silver urns overflowing with matching red roses, and a gauntlet of greeters with champagne on silver trays signaled that this night would be something special – the likes of which San Diego has not seen.

Valentino Red punctuated the sleek stark black and white framework of the 8000 square foot tent. White suede linens adorned the king’s tables set atop a custom hi-shine black composite appliqué floor. White duponi silk draped the walls and ceiling, and black hi-gloss chavaris chairs adorned the grand tables. Seven by fourteen foot mirrors with a frame of solid red roses flanked the guest tables coordinating with the lush centerpieces that ran the length of the tables. These decadent centerpieces rested in black mirrored troughs which complemented the unique floor below – thus tying the venue together into one sinuous, elegant environment.
The décor focal point of the night, however, consisted of an installation of Valentino’s 45 years of fashion highlighted on Swarovski crystal mannequins interspersed with vitrines set with millions of dollars worth of Damaini Jewelry. It was difficult to believe that this was a tent, more so, it was a Grand Ballroom custom built for this one night as the millions of crystals, diamonds, and other fine jewels cast sparkles of light throughout.

The program of the evening was as stellar as the décor, and left no eye dry, no pocket full, and, at the end of the night when the legendary Chubby Checker took the stage, no seat occupied! The night began with the guest of honor – and the reason that this once in a lifetime event took place – Father Joe Carroll’s message of giving children a sense of purpose, character, dignity and values – all to be found through the development of “A Children’s Village”. His incredible impact on the community, tied in with the host of the night, Irene Valenti’s passion for helping the youth and the elderly, left no one questioning why they were there. It was very evident throughout all aspects of the entire night that both Father Joe and Valenti International are passionate about this cause. San Diego City Councilmember Brian Maienschein was also on hand to present Irene Valenti, the founder of Valenti International and The Valenti International Foundation with a Special Commendation for supporting Father Joe’s Children’s Village.

The 501(c) 3, non-profit organization is still tabulating the total for the evening as donations continue to pour in, raising money for “A Children’s Village” (Father Joe’s Villages) in San Diego’s East County, which will be home for more than 200 children who have no home.

Standing Alone, the Industry Giant Again Redefines Service

Valenti International, a company best known for their discreet and almost elusive public presence is making bold moves. Their goals are once again to provide privacy for clientele while accommodating the busy schedules of the world’s elite. Valenti International has recently acquired private executive space across the globe. These confidential executive suites allow for a consultation with a company representative as needed. Until now, those interested in this most exclusive of matchmaking services needed to travel to the Southern California estate for a consultation.

The executive suites are not staffed offices, they are exquisite and elegant spaces designed for privacy and comfort—they are typically reserved well in advance as needed by potential clients. A representative of Valenti International will meet the interested party at the private location of greatest convenience, again ensuring confidentiality. The executive spaces include cities/destinations like Florence, London, New York, Florida, and of course the company’s international headquarters in Southern California.

Irene Valenti, president and founder of Valenti International offered:

“We are accommodating the specific needs of impressive and busy individuals, who often have little privacy in their public lives. Celebrities, surgeons, athletes, attorneys, entrepreneurs are amongst our clients—the cost in meeting at our headquarters is measured in time, the greatest commodity for these individuals. Our new executive spaces in different parts of the world will continue to ensure privacy but better meet the needs of those with taxing schedules.”

What is Valenti International?

If you don’t know you are not alone. The organization attracts only the top percentage of the most incredible people in the world. Although Irene Valenti clarified, “Not all of our clients are household names as many imagine, rather I like to think of our clients as discerning, highly selective, and unique, but yes the service we offer is not available to everyone.”

A traditional European heritage and family values are combined with the expertise of professionals to assist individuals in finding a romantic partner. Valenti International relies upon a team of professional consultants located throughout the world. Licensed clinical psychologists are employed to develop a personalized understanding of each client’s needs and desires; unlike any service, the suitability of a potential “match “ is determined by the team. Understanding key aspects of an individual’s character and personality allows for much more than a basic pairing of similarities. Integral aspects of a functioning and complementary relationship are considered before clients are introduced. Information is available at Valentiinternational.com.

Changes for the Elusive Giant

Valenti International, ironically is perhaps best known for invisibility and privacy; the organization has recently made remarkable accommodations to serve those interested in the service.

While the worldwide headquarters continues to serve as the hub for all centralized operations, the company has acquired executive properties and suites across the world for confidential consultations. In the past those interested in this most exclusive of matchmaking services needed to travel to the Southern California estate for a consultation. This bold acquisition of new private meeting suites allows for confidential interviews in cities/destinations like Florence, London, New York, Naples, and of course Southern California. Those interested in the service reserve the executive space well in advance. A company representative will then meet the individual for a confidential consultation. The suites are not staffed offices, rather they are exquisite and elegant spaces designed for privacy.

The president and founder of Valenti International reported, “while it’s true that we attract a range of clients, most are quite successful and busy. The expense of traveling to our office in California is usually not an issue, it is the expense of time that our potential clients can not afford. We hope our new suites designed simply for the purpose of consultation, makes the process more time considerate.”

Unfamiliar with the organization?

Valenti International stands alone in quality and professionalism; matchmaking is moved both forward and backwards in time, integrating qualities of heritage and family with the professionalism of a team of licensed doctors to assist in the pairing of individuals—suitability of the match is determined by the team. “Sometimes what is wanted versus what is needed is curiously juxtaposed,” argues chief psychologist Dr. Jason Camu.
Modeled after an old European village paradigm, with a wise matriarch who knows all including familial expectation and culture, people are privately introduced to one another to fall in love. Irene Valenti, the founder and president offered this sobering statement:
“Sadly people sometimes forget their real worth and subject themselves to the humiliation of meeting a stranger, ultimately to be hurt. We try and capture the magic of romance, yet apply realism including assessment of character, culture, family, and lifestyle. Dreams of tall, dark, and handsome are balanced with the essential, for example a person’s readiness to make a commitment. Services always overlook the basic and instead promise fantasy, playing on people’s insecurities—this is terrible. Of all we try to do to fill a wish list, perhaps most importantly we attend to basic values and the core qualities of the person.”
The international organization is known as much as a powerful and unique consulting company as it is for romance, matchmaking, and confidentiality. Amongst those who know of Valenti International, it is held as the organization to the stars, celebrities, and world’s elite. In a volatile emotional business and practice which naturally involves intense feelings, and even when under attack, the organization consistently rises above the media to protect their client’s privacy and personal lives with integrity and moral and ethical responsibility—an impressive feat.
